Lakeside Players mourns the loss of our beloved “First Lady of the Rhode”, Judy Rossow.
Judy was instrumental in paving the way for artists of all kinds to have a venue to shine. She meant so much to so many people and organizations downtown. Judy was involved with the Rhode for decades, saving it from demolition back in 1989 and spearheading our largest annual fundraiser "Bowls and Books". She had a passion for the arts and everyone who knew her admired her lifetime dedication of community service. In 2017 the Lakeside Board of Directors named and dedicated our beautiful lobby after Judy, "The Judy Rossow Grand Lobby." The Rhode, Pollard Gallery and downtown won't be the same without her. Judy, we love you, we miss you, respect you, admire you and promise that we will continue creating art and making you proud.
In this hilarious, fast-paced comedy, the inhabitants of one of the smallest trailer parks in Texas-four doublewides and a shed- are thrown for a loop when they realize the nearby town of Tugaloo is determined to annex them.
For inquiries about venue availability or our upcoming events, send us a message.
We will get back to you soon!
